BIO · Erik Shane Swanson’s paintings and sculptures issue a sense of stillness and permanence to transitory forms. He has exhibited at institutions including The Bronx Museum of the Arts in New York, Transmitter in Brooklyn, New York, and David Shelton Gallery in Houston, Texas. Swanson has participated in residencies at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture and the Vermont Studio Center, among others. He received his BFA from the Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, California in 2005 and his MFA from the University of Texas at Austin in 2014. Swanson currently resides in Berlin, Germany.
